It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Jean Armstrong in her 88th year, on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa. Beloved wife of Mac for over 64 years. Loving mother of John (Marilyn) and Wayne (Bun). Cherished grandmother of Kristy (Luc) and Jared and great-grandmother of Zackary. Predeceased by sister Isly, daughter-in-law Debbie and brother Mervin. Relatives and friends will be received at the Thorne Memorial Chapel, 98 River St. in Sunderland, ON., on Monday, October 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Sunderland United Church on Tuesday, Oct. 12th, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Zephyr. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer's Society or the Cancer Society, would be gratefully appreciated.
